ScubaDiving
The reefs and walls surrounding the Cuban maritime platform
offer, to the beginner as well as to the advanced diver, as
much if not more than any diving area in the world. We currently
offer 31 diving centers at 18 different zones with 100's
of diving sites, and new areas are being developed everyday.
Golf
For those that prefer a difficult par
and an easy bogey, Cuba's golf courses possess excellent natural conditions.
The courses are spacious, on level ground and covered by fine grass
and interior lakes, sometimes situated between gentle rolling hills.
Cycling
Taking a bike around Cuba is, perhaps,
the best way to see one of the most interesting and
beautiful places on Earth. Riding through Cuba affords
an opportunity to see all the most important touristic
sights on the island, as well as, the daily treasures
that lie in between.
Saltwater fishing
Whether practiced
as a sport or a hobby, fishing in Cuba is a veritable paradise. With
it's position at the entrance of the Gulf of Mexico and its profusion
of keys and peninsulas that litter the island's circumference, aficionados
like Ernest Hemingway have spent many happy hours pursuing the multiple
species of fish that abound in its waters.
Freshwater fishing
The island of Cuba has quite
a variety of freshwater fishing to offer to the visitor. Impressive untouched
areas and ecological parks, coastal zones and rivers, lagoons and ponds,
all sport a great variety of flora and fauna endemic to the country.
Skydiving
Where better to experience the thrill of skydiving than with the blue
skies, white sandy beaches and green countryside of Cuba? The answer
is clearly "nowhere!" This sport of adventurers is growing
here as elsewhere, and is the perfect way to add zest to your visit.
Currently Cuba's sole skydiving center is at world famous Varadero beach. But soon
another center will open at the equally spectacular beach of Cayo
Coco on the central north coast.
Snorkeling
Cuba's marine platform
has coral reefs running along the perimeter of the entire country. Because
it is an island with a sub tropical climate a series of excellent beaches
have been developed and its coastline is adorned by many unexplored peninsulas.
Cuba boasts nearly 300 beaches and keys, 20 cave systems and more than
150 species of fish from the Atlantic Ocean.
Yachting & Sailing
Cuba has a number of beautiful
spots along the coastline with marinas that offer an excellent opportunity
to enjoy aquatic sports. These marinas offer activities such as scuba diving,
fishing, yachting, cruising and recreational beach sports. International
regattas, tournaments and events are also held at these marinas.
